Graves Electrical Services, Inc. is proud to have completed two more solar sites in Florida as part of FP&L’s 30-by-30 plan to install 30 million solar panels in the state of Florida by 2030.  In the effort to help Florida become a world leader in clean energy, the Rooster Substation in North Santa Rosa County will service the Blackwater River Solar farm, while the Mayo Substation in Calhoun County will service the Shirer Branch PV Park.  Each solar farm boasts more than 200,000 photovoltaic solar panels and will provide millions in tax revenue to their respective counties’ tax bases over their lifetime.  While the associated substations are complete, the solar farms themselves are still under construction and will have created hundreds of jobs in the area by the time work is complete.  Proximity to clean power delivery is also a fantastic incentive for future businesses to locate new branches in the area.  We at Graves are honored to be a part of FPL’s commitment to the state of Florida and eager to see what comes of it in 2030 and beyond.
