Graves Electrical Services performed an ampacity and electrical bus upgrade at Florida Power & Light’s Mims Substation in Mims, Florida. The project spanned four months, from February to June of 2021. By deploying mobile switches and a mobile transformer, Graves was able to maintain power to local residents while making considerable upgrade alterations to the substation, a process that requires an advanced level of expertise. Graves’ technicians and personnel completed the project on time and efficiently to the customer’s satisfaction, and looks forward to doing many more projects of this caliber in the months and years to come, assisting FP&L in keeping Florida’s power grid at the forefront of 21st century technology.
